As part of the Richmond at Home and at War project, the Museum of Richmond has begun working with local secondary school pupils to inspire creative responses to the stories of the war.
Work so far has included Poetry Burst sessions at the museum, using objects from the collections to stimulate poetry writing, and an outreach workshop working with Poet in the City.
We have posted notes on how to try your own Poetry Burst session and have published some of the outcomes of those workshops on the blog. We will continue to add more poetry as it comes in to us, along with further details of the public poetry event planned for early 2015.
