Death of Albert Fribbins – one of The Alberts dead |

One of the oldest men from The Alberts to be killed, Albert George Fribbins was 42 years-old when he died and left behind a widow, Jane, and daughter Alice (20) and son George (19). George was himself old enough to serve, although we have not found records to confirm whether he had joined up.

Albert was killed in fighting around the Somme on 4 April 1918. He had served as a Private in the East Surrey Regiment.
