Death of William Gibson, one of The Alberts dead

William Alexander Gibson was killed in action at Gallipoli on 3 May 1915. He was serving with the ANZACs, as a Private in the 4th Battalion, Australian Infantry.

William had been born in Richmond but by 1911 was working as a Carpenter Assistant at a school in Australia. His parents continued to live on Princes Road where they would have received the news of his death.

William is commemorated on the Lone Pine Memorial in Gallipoli.
